MPC Steamship acts as Commercial Manager for all chartering and s&p requirements of the MPC Group. HISTORY The roots of the MPC Group date back to the year 1846 marking the foundation of Münchmeyer & Co. In 1911 the trading house R. Petersen & Co. was established. Both companies quickly developed into internationally respected and successful trading houses. As managing partner of R. Petersen & Co., Mr. Axel Schroeder sen., formed in 1972 the joint company MPC Münchmeyer Petersen & Co. Over the years Mr. Axel Schroeder sen. took over the shares completely and developed the groups business further, always based on the tradition of the "Hamburger Kaufmann", the chances of present times and the visions of the future. Today the MPC Group is owned by the family of Mr. Axel Schroeder. Over 160 years of experience and expertise in trading, finance and shipping are the basis of the group's success today. MPC Steamship was founded in 1999 by MPC Münchmeyer Petersen & Co. GmbH, MPC Münchmeyer Petersen Capital AG and Mr. Horst Schomburg. The company was established in consequence of the MPC Münchmeyer Petersen Capital AG's necessity to create a know-how center for shipping within the MPC Group. |
